Adrenaline rushes aren't for everyone but Utah is full of fun activities.

Anyone visiting Utah should go prepared to indulge in some jam-packed outdoorsy fun. From extreme sports to incredible natural wonders, Utah is an adrenaline junkie’s paradise. If you are planning a trip to Utah and looking for fun things to do during your time there, look no further. We are here to introduce you to nine amazing ways to experience Utah!

1. Go Paragliding in Salt Lake City

Paragliding is a popular sport all throughout the state of Utah, but it is particularly fun to do just outside of Salt Lake City. Utah Paragliding invites beginners as well as seasoned flyers to join them for paragliding adventures throughout many beautiful locations surrounding SLC. Those locations include Lone Peak, Strawberry Reservoir, and West Mountain. Fly in tandem with an experienced instructor, take classes to obtain your paragliding certificate, or go it alone at any one of the beautiful locations in the area.

2. Go Ski Jumping at the Park City Olympic Park

What exactly is ski jumping? It’s even wilder than it sounds. At the Olympic Park, ski jumpers can launch themselves down a long ski slope and straight into a giant pool. If that sounds a little too much to handle, opt to watch the pros do it instead. And ski jumping isn’t the only extreme sport at Olympic Park. Visitors can take part in a handful of other adrenaline-inducing activities including extreme tubing, ziplining, airbag jumping, summer bobsledding, and completing an aerial obstacle course. You could easily spend the entire day indulging in heart-racing fun!

3. Go Snowmobiling Through the Mountainous Regions

One of the great things about visiting Utah is the ability to do snow sports any time of the year. Just trek up the nearest snowy mountain top! With Thousand Peaks in Park City, Utah, you can book a snowmobiling tour through the mountains, getting in your fill of beautiful, snowy scenery and satisfying your appetite for speed.

4. Try Wakeboarding on Lake Powell

Wakeboarding is great. Wakeboarding on Lake Powell is even better. If you’re going to spend the day on the water, it might as well be in a scenic area like Lake Powell. Adrenaline junkies will get a kick out of wakeboarding on this magnificent body of water, but that’s not the only way to experience the lake. Other water sports offered at Lake Powell include water skiing, boating, Jet Skiing, wake surfing, and even tubing if you just want something more relaxing.

5. Rappel Down a Waterfall

Utah is always trying to outdo itself. Why simply rappel down a ravine when you could rappel down a waterfall? Through Utah High Adventure, you can rappel down waterfalls whether you are a complete novice or an experienced rappeler.

6. Take Photos of Your Walk Through Wire Pass Slot Canyon

If you are on Instagram, you are bound to have seen a handful of photos of various travelers walking through the Wire Pass Slot Canyon. So if you’re in Utah, why not snap some photos of yourself in this canyon? Of course, there is so much more to this canyon than simply providing a great backdrop for your latest profile picture. Put on your hiking boots and prepare for hours of trekking through this winding canyon. Note: it’s not great for anyone with claustrophobia.

7. Relax in the Fifth Water Hot Springs

Forget hot tubs. If you are going to soak in luxuriously warm water, why not do it in a natural spring surrounded by the beautiful great outdoors? Head to Fifth Water Hot Springs and relax your sore muscles after a taxing hike to the location!

8. Camp Under the Stars in Goblin Valley

Goblin Valley is as mystical and spooky as it sounds — especially at night. Hike through this strange valley filled with rock formations and pitch a tent to spend an evening under the stars. Don’t forget to bring your camera since you are bound to find a plethora of locations throughout the valley that are excellent for a sci-fi photoshoot.

9. Go on a Night Hike Through Calf Creek Falls

Fear not, this is not as dangerous as it might sound, especially if you go with a guide. The Calf Creek Falls invites adventurous hikers to go on a six-mile hike at night (which will take approximately five hours to complete). If it’s possible, arrange to go on this hike during a full moon. It will make the experience even more enchanting and provide incredible light for jaw-dropping photos.
